Yesterday I was invited to the event organized by Ralph Lauren for the bloggers in their boutique located in Via Montenapoleone 4. The event was dedicated in particular to the presentation of women’s accessories from the fall/winter 2012 collection. In recent years, Ralph Lauren has enlarged a lot the accessories collection and it has created a lot of wonderful shoes and bags, perfect in every detail.

In particular, in this collection we see the presence of embroidery and decorations made with beads and sequins and gold heels decorated with metal cages. It ‘s definitely a collection that shows us the brand’s desire to orient more towards a luxury target without forgetting its roots, as evidenced by the presence of riding boots and many other accessories that represent the traditions of the brand.

I really loved the Ricky Bag that you can see in the pictures, that bag has the name of the designer’s wife and muse. Only the finest quality leathers—selected by highly trained artisans and considered the best hides in the industry—are used to create the Ricky Bag. All Ricky Bags are made by hand in Italy from 50 separate pieces of leather and nine different pieces of hardware, requiring two expert artisans 10–12 hours to make one bag. The body and straps are assembled by doubling leather, corners, piping or lasting.

Ieri sono stata invitata all’evento di Ralph Lauren organizzato per le blogger nella loro boutique di Via Montenapoleone 4. L’evento era dedicato in particolare alla presentazione della collezione accessori donna fall 2012. Negli ultimi anni Ralph Lauren ha ampliato molto la parte accessori, creando soprattutto delle scarpe e borse meravigliose, curate in ogni minimo dettaglio.

In particolare in questa collezione vediamo la presenza di ricami e decorazioni realizzate con perline e paillettes color oro e tacchi decorati con gabbie di metallo. E’ sicuramente una collezione che testimonia la volontà del brand di orientarsi sempre più verso un target lusso, senza dimenticare però le proprie origini, come dimostra la presenza degli stivali da cavallerizza e molti altri accessori che rappresentano le tradizioni del brand.

L’accessorio preferito mio e di Nicoletta è senza dubbio la Ricky Bag che potete vedere nelle foto, borsa che prende il nome dalla moglie e musa del designer e che è realizzata interamente a mano (richiede infatti fino a 12 ore di lavorazione).
