New York fashion week: day 3

During my third day of NYFW I’ve been at the Belstaff fashion show and the Milly presentation.For the Belstaff spring/summer ready to wear, Chief Creative Officer Martin Cooper was inspired by the romanticism of global travel. Archival referenced are apparent in the collection, but they have been reinterpreted with a modern sensibility. For example, the classic Belstaff Trialmaster jacket has been reinvented in a fine jute hued linen twill and trimmed with cavallo leather.

After the Belstaff fashion show I did some shopping in Broadway and then, at late evening, I went to the Milly showroom for a cocktail with some other bloggers. I also had the pleasure to meet the designer, Michelle Smith, in person. She’s such a nice person and I absolutely love her! Today I’m going to attend the Milly fashion show, I’ve already seen some clothes from the new collection and I’m sure you’re going to love them!

Durante il mio terzo giorno della NYFW sono stata alla sfilata di Belstaff e alla presentazione di Milly. Lo stilista di Belstaff Martin Cooper per la Spring/Summer 2013 collection si è ispirato al tema del viaggio e al suo romanticismo. La classica giacca Triaslmaster, icona del marchio, è stata rivisitata con pelle di cavallo e dettagli in lino. La palette di colori va dal bianco, al grigio, al color sabbia fino ad arrivare al verde militare e al bronzo.

Verso sera ho fatto poi visita allo showroom di Milly dove fremevano i preparativi per la sfilata che si svolgerà oggi pomeriggio. Dopo aver indossato per due anni i capi di questo brand ho finalmente avuto il piacere di incontrare dal vivo la stilista, Michelle Smith, scambiare due chiacchiere con lei. E’ una persona fantastica :)
