Chanel Prêt-à-Porter F/W 2012/13

As many of you probably already know, yesteday I was in Paris and I had the chance to attend the Chanel Fall/Winter 2012/13 Prêt-à-Porter fashion show.

The location chosen was, as always, the beautiful Grand Palais, which Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld decided to turn into a cold crystal fortress for a wrapped-up and layered fall/winter collection that could remember the 1980′s space-age sheen. The clothes picked up the crystal motif too: the heels are made of plexiglass and they’re covered with crystals, just like the tailleurs and even the models’ eyebrows!

The stylist played a lot with the clothes volumes (by wearing skirts over trousers, for example), with the manufacturing of the various fabrics and on the metallic and geometric details. On the other hand, the evening side of this collection can be very structured: we saw feather-embroidered necklines, papier-mache-like dresses in dark autumn-leaf shades, wonderful bodices, some ample skirts and voluminous ruffs.

As always, Karl Lagerfeld did an outstanding job designing what is by far one of the most amazing new collections!!

P.S. I also had the chance to meet Katy Perry!! So exciting!
