Attending a Chanel fashion show has been one of my “forbidden” dreams for a long time. When I received the invitation I was beyond happiness, and when yesterday morning I arrived at the Grand Palais in Paris I was as happy and excited as a child.
As soon as entering the beautiful location I was amazed by the magical stage designed by Lagerfeld. The inspiration was clearly marine, with huge fishes, shellfishes and seaweeds to decorate the catwalk.
From the main shell, just before the end of the show, appeared Florence Welch, the singer from “Florence + the Machine”, who made the atmosphere even more exciting thanks to her wonderful voice.
The collection is obviously inspired by the seabed as well. The main color is white, accompanied by silver and metallic colors that evoke the reflections under the sea. There is also a touch of black and some pastel colors like light pink and green.
The laces are very reminiscent of seaweeds, the skirts seem to be decorated with scales and the structure of the heels is really similar to that of the coral. New, but already highly desired, is the “soft shell” bag which, as the name implies, has the shape of a shell. Amazing!
These beautiful 15 minutes ended with the great Lagerfeld coming out accompanied by Florence, both deserving the standing ovation.
I’ll soon publish some detailed pictures of the outfit that I’ve chosen for this occasion!
Assistere a una sfilata di Chanel era uno dei miei sogni “proibiti” da tantissimo tempo. Quando ho ricevuto l’invito ero al settimo cielo e quando ieri mattina sono arrivata al Grand Palais di Parigi ero emozionata come una bambina.
Entrata nella splendida location ho subito potuto ammirare l’allestimento magico e quasi fiabesco ideato da Lagerfeld. L’ispirazione era chiaramente marina, con enormi pesci, conchiglie ed alghe che decoravano la passerella.
Proprio dalla conchiglia principale, verso la fine dello show, è apparsa Florence Welch dei “Florence + the machine”, che ha reso ancora più emozionante l’atmosfera grazie alla sua voce meravigliosa.
Così come la location, anche la collezione è d’ispirazione marina. Il colore principale è il bianco, accompagnato da argento e tinte metallizzate che contribuiscono ad evocare i riflessi del fondale marino. Vi è anche qualche tocco di nero e colori pastello come il verde e il rosa chiaro.
I pizzi ricordano vere e proprie alghe, le gonne sembrano decorate con squame e la struttura del tacco dei tronchetti è simile a quella del corallo. Nuova e sicuramente già desideratissima la borsa “soft shell” che, come dice il nome stesso, è proprio a forma di conchiglia.
Questi 15 minuti stupendi sono terminati con l’uscita del grande Lagerfeld accompagnato dalla cantante Florence, entrambi meritevoli dell’applauso del pubblico.

La sfilata mi è piaciuta molto.
Innovativa la location che rinforza il tema della sfilata, non solo allusione al mare ma sopratutto alla sua fauna e flora.
Le modelle in questo caso rappresentavano pesci variopinti o alghe o coralli che si muovevano sinuose nel mare.
Quasi fosse una barriera corallina.
Belle le scarpe, senza essere per forza “high heels”.
Finalmente un po’ di comodità, con chic!
